Brother Andrew Wong was raised in a Christian family. He is a professional social worker serving as a Master Trainer for Model of Professional Accountability Practitioners with the Social Welfare Department of Malaysia. Currently he is lecturing part-time at School of Isaiah, Methodist CAC, Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary, and Jubilee Initiative Malaysia in the area of social concerns and urban poverty. Since 2000 He has trained over a thousand volunteers to serve the marginalized community through various welfare agencies, Christian social ministries, National Service Department, New Era College and local varsities. He himself has been serving people with disabilities, single parent, and problematic youth in the urban squatter settlement.

In order to fulfill God’s mandate for him to mobilize Malaysian Chinese Christians in responding to the call of the “Great Commandment”, he decided to establish a new training initiative called “Holistic Integrated Services” (T.E.A.M) with a group sharing the same vision. At the same time, as a tent-maker, he also assisted her wife in planting and pastoring the Evangelical Baptist Church. In November 2007, Andrew will graduate from Malaysia Bible Seminary with his Master’s in Christianity Studies. He will serve as Executive Director of T.E.A.M. and continue in volunteer training, youth camp awareness speaking, and church pulpit sharing.
